Peeing in the shower may be mildly controversial, but peeing in the bath seems massively more so. I don’t see the issue with it. The main argument against peeing in the bath is that you are swimming in a pool of your own piss.

The average person pees 200ml-400ml in a single piss. The average bath holds 300l of water when full to the top. Now let’s assume that your bath is only 2/3rds full when you use it, and also that you pee at the highest end of the normal range, so 400ml. So you’ve peed 400ml into a 200l tub of water - that equates to around 0.2% pee. Almost completely negligible.

That’s not even taking into account that pee is 95% water. If we consider this, then the total non-water pee volume in a 400ml piss is just 20ml. That brings our pee volume to a staggering 0.01% of our bath.

If we are to be concerned about floating around in a bath which is 0.01% piss, I would be more worried about the other crap you wash off yourself in the bath, such as sweat, dead skin, dirt, bacteria etc.

Finally, peeing in the bath saves water as you avoid having to flush your toilet.

In conclusion, peeing in the bath is fine and people should do it more often. Now, this is not to recommend ALWAYS peeing in the bath, but if nobody is using it after you and you need to go anyway, why waste time, energy and water to use the toilet when the bath works fine?
